Guess we will find out with mine, maybe I would be better off running a 33. Do you know how well the km2's do in sand?

Babaganoosh - I really like the "bad ass leaf sprung" direction your build is going. Sweet bumpstops!
I don't know about "desert terrain" unfortunately, but for dunes and snow I MUCH prefer my BFG A/T to old style BFG M/T (and other mud terrain's I've run). The A/T's wear better and were cheaper for a similar sized tire IMO. Obviously there's no comparison in mud - the A/T's lose.
Also, a tire's actual size is often less than advertised (which you may know). My 37" BFG A/t's are ~36" if memory serves correctly. The "315's" that I've run were more like 33.5" on the tape measure... on a good day.
Obviously varying the backspacing, tire width, and wheel width will affect fitment when tire is stuffed quite a bit (in addition to the other factors discussed in this thread)... but with my D60, 36x11.75" "actual size" tires, 3 inch springs, zero rate moving axle forward 1.5", 1" body lift, front fender fang removed, H2 wheels, and ~4.75" up-travel (that gets used)... there are a few inches to spare before the tire would hit the inner fender.
I didn't see what you're running for up-travel... but I thought this info may add to what you've already gathered to support your wheel/tire buy.
They do great. We often do river runs here in Oklahoma. Lots of sand. I pulled a Powerstroke quad cab through 100 yards of blowsand and never lost traction or dug myself in deep. He was on street radials and his axles were hopping the whole time I was pulling him.![]()

Might i recommend the Goodyear DuraTrac? Little more than a all terrain, little less then a MT.
