Can anyone give me some pointers how to cut/ grind the hoops to meet that rendering?

Make the plates. Mock up the hoops then cut them long. When they look right, cut them down.

I also have another question, how tall is to tall or should I not worry about that. As is right now uncut they are 18.9 Inches.

Travel length, shock length and up travel from static will set the hoop height.

Personally, I would get the engine, headers, and front clip in place before I would even think about what to do with the hoops. Those should be one of the last things you worry about.

Yeah, I agree with you on the plates, but I would not go cutting on the hoops until everything is in place.

Got a line on shocks, my springs are 12 inch travel should I get the 12's or14

Limit staps either way. Shocks should be a hair longer than travel. So 14's. No idea on the
valving for those.

I have 255/70 all the way around on my SUPER heavy K20 on 'tons. Too light in front, too heavy in back (with an empty bed) In full trail setup/weight they are too light all around...though pretty close in back, if I got rid of the factory rear overloads and used something like these: http://www.cognitomotorsports.com/p..._-_Deaver_Mini_Pack_-_99-06_GMC_1500_4wd.html it would be really, really close for the rear suspension. I spend LOTS of time beating on my bumpstops. Ask wade about my driving though....
