Actually look like a truck once again. :pimp: But I hate having to hide Wade's paint job. :doah:

Before anyone says anything.

:haha:

Came from this.

Now I can start messing with the suspension even more now. Got the bump plates good enough to use for mock up and just need to cycle the suspension to take measurements for the hoops and see if they will clear the fenders and stuff. :pimp:

First I need to transfer the guts from the old door to the new door.

Hopefully you're using that Suburban radiator support and grille too?

Needed a me day, had to get out and do something away from everything. I went 4 wheeling for a couple of hours to see what I could find.

The DD needs rock sliders. :doah: The passenger rear went down first then the drivers rear came up off the ground. That's a weird feeling. :eek1: I couldn't go out of the trail so I had to turn around. Climbing this ledge was tricky, I had to bump it a little then power brake it a tad to get it up. By the time I was up and over I could smell tires. :pimp:

The rear tire lifting off the ground was scaryer then going 65 down the was board road hitting a dip and the back end coming up off the ground hearing the RPM's go up then landing and go sideways as I preparing for the next turn. burnout

Ok, I seem to be confusing myself once again.

I started cycling the suspension again to hopefully setup my hoops. I first let the axle drop to static.

20 inches from the bump plate to the top of the frame rail. I remember reading to add another inch to that and it will be max drop.

Chris from ORD says 5 and a half inches up and down travel.

so from the 21 inches max drop to the top of the rail I go up 4 and a half and that's ride height. 5 and a half up is max bump that equals to 11 inches of travel and looks like this around the steering box.

Hows this look for cross over? Seems to me it would be to close and that's the factory 2wd pitman arm.

Once I got to the end of typing this I realized with this I have around 11 inches of travel, the springs are designed for 12 inch, should I strap it at this and call it safe with the 14 inch travel shocks? How would I go about mounting the hoops on the frame? Not sure where I should put the left over shock travel up or down?

I would split the difference with your shocks, leave an extra inch each direction.

How do you know where ride height is?

Chris from ord said the springs have 5 1/2 up and down so "ride height is middle"

Do you think I will have trouble with the cross over arm pitman arm hitting the leafs?

You may have more clearance with a 4wd pitman arm, the tie rod end bolts up thru the arm.

JUST SET YOUR BUMP STOP SO IT DOESN'T HIT.

Looks like I need to order up cross over. Was hoping I could get away with ordering something big like this until may 1st.

I could set the bumps like this but it wouldn't be as much fun without getting the full potential of the springs.
