Thank you, unfortunately both sides are contacting. With the motor pushed up higher it will clear just fine. Might have to do a slight notch on the drivers rail though.
My next project is putting the trans and transfer case in and get with Kurt at diy4x for different mounts.
I was hoping for more clearance, these were supposed to fit flawless. It's most likely because it's so low in the rails and the combination of parts I'm using.
2wd frame, drilled for the factory 4wd frame side mount, Diy4x lower and upper ls conversion mounts and a TnA cross member. It was a pain getting it all together and everything needed to be loose then pulled tight back together for the cross member and the mounts to bolt together correctly.
Yeah I remember you struggling with that. You'll get it though. It's just one more stepping stone on your path to your awesome finished truck. I can just picture it now.
Thought you said just a couple days ago the Jimmy would never get a LS?
If I wanted to go that route I would have just resealed my 350 and did a krylon rebuild.
If I didn't need the money, I would have turned it into a coffee table. It was a runner and going to a good home, into a 72 Camaro. I still have the guys number that bought it, maybe I should buy it back.
My street & performance headers fit with let's of room.
I think some of the issuers maybe if your motor is seting lower then normal.
Here is how mine fit
Would it be possible to take a measurement off the flange on both sides how far the tubes stick out? Curious to see how much they hug the block vs the Thorleys
