Maybe just maybe I'll do it, I mean it's under 180. I have done way more expensive useless upgrades...

We will see as of the moment it's not a priority. I need this truck done for a 8 hour trip one way!

I had to borrow my dad's K5 in '08 because I tried to do a last minute hydro assist install. At this point I would save it until after.

It's nice to have with a front locker. Before I had hyrdo assist, I could feel the front locker pushing on the steering wheel trying to force the tires straight, but with the assist I don't feel that at all. It's also nice in parking lots being able to turn large tires with the truck not moving.

Skip the hydro then. The coilover conversion will run you down to the wire I think. Only if you get the coilovers working and the truck back together by Memorial Day are you allowed to mess with the steering. :D

No! Get her moving first. Add fancy things later
If you don't quit scheming and start wrenching, it isn't going to make it out of the shop door! :haha:
The plan is to have it at the minimum driving and a shake down run a month before blazer bash.

Ben you talk such a big game but I have yet see any sort of serious progress in months. Stop trying to build something worthy of Top Truck Challenge and just get the ****er driving again. Following your thread is getting frustrating.

I have done little things nothing worth posting been saving for the 4 link Glenn. Give me a few weeks and I'll have it and started and hopefully impress you with a update.

I have to order a few things. It won't take me long to do that, honestly I'm not worried about it so much.

Oh trust me I know you guys mean no harm and it's just for motivation. I did do some work Saturday but it's nothing to show or tell about. Was just filling in holes.

Once you get the 4 link I better see very few progress pictures. Get in get it done.

Running and driving is the most important thing now. Get the 4 link in, get it running and driving. Work out those problems, then start modding.

NO MODS allowed 3 weeks before a major run. Thats my rule ( that I tend to break every single time).

Although you have used the phrase, " I got this" " not worried about x".

Those are crash and burn phrases, everything will take longer nothing will bolt on and your test drive might be the trip to Moab this fall.

:D:D:D:D:D

Every project costs at least twice as much and takes at least three times as long as I anticipated it would.

I sure hope my test drive isn't to moab. :eek1: I don't, and will not be the one broke on the side of the trail because I didn't get to test my truck. I do understand things happen but I will try my hardest to not let that happen.

I opened the door today and was like this.
