I'm back from KOH14 and have came up with two conclusions, I need bypasses in 4 corners and hydro assist. Shame I can only get one of them.

A wise man named Stephen once told me that when I made the jump from leaves to coilovers, that the difference was so big that I wouldn't even start thinking about dialing in valving etc. for a couple years.

He was right.

I always have trouble deciding what was the best mod to my Blazer but good suspension might be at the top, it's made it so much more enjoyable to use :woot:

I thought I saw your truck at the pits. :thumb: I had to ask Wade if that was yours. The car looked great we saw it go up Chocolate Thunder I believe, Shame about the tranny going out. We stopped by to meet Stephen but he was out with the car, got to see his Father though.

Getting the shocks dialed in might be done, but I need to learn to drive the truck first. :thumb:

We didn't have a truck in the race but we did support a couple guys and Stephen was the co-driver for a guy named Jimmy-Jack.

Cool story about that, he was the first customer we had that wanted a 203-205 doubler with a passenger side drop case that wanted the 205 clocked up. That was about 15 years ago. To this day, our part number still has "JJ" on the end of it (for Jim-Jack) and it's the one we sell the most of. I'm pretty sure he was racing in KOH this year on that same doubler from way back when.

So ready to start back up on this KOH did the trick, not to mention riding shot gun In KTMOUTFRONT'S jimmy.

Waiting on the frame brackets form ORD and It's on. :woot:Sorry to keep you guys posted on the 4 link but I wanted to give a update on where I'm at.

Too bad you were not there Thursday during the day. I ran a section of the old SCORE course. Evidently I passed an Ultra 4 driver heading back to the pits after shock tuning. Brian Shirley had a few choice words for the tan blazer that was running better than his car. He could not tune out the rebound. Good times.

He still placed 21st out of 130. I wouldn't make the first hill.

I saw him eye balling my cammed 6.0L on the stand. :haha: Even with his motor it still flat out gets going.:thumb:

I have been going back and forth for about a year on getting the heads port and polished. I have a friend that has another friend that owes him a favor, and I could get it done cheap.

Personally, I don't know that it's going to be worth it for you. That 6.0 will already have really good power. But if it's like $100 or something, why not I guess.

It really opens up the LS motors and it would put me in the 400 horse range. Is it needed? probably not, but neither is half the stuff on this truck.

Cam, headers, and tune will already have you in 400+! But yea, find out how much it will cost. Less than $250,and in would do it. Above, and forget it.

if its going to keep the funds from going somewhere that will help you get this thing driving i would say no, if you have most of the stuff you need and money isnt an issue i would say do it.

I have piles of parts laying in my room the truck and garage. Mostly just waiting on time and the next biggest and last item will be the paint. The rest will be odds and ends which I'm hoping won't nickle and dime me to bad.

I think it will be close to 400 it definitely should put 300's to the ground. With the cam, I pretty much have to get a dyno tune so I will be able to post numbers.
