Well then it's a good thing you are asking I suppose. Just gotta figure out the cause and effect. It's obvious to everyone by now that you will at some point get this done. You are definitely persistent. That's all it really takes is persistence. Having more than that just makes it easier. It's not the difference between possible and impossible. So go ahead and be frustrated. I would be too. And then you can think back on it fondly when you are driving down the road with an insane sence of accomplishment!

Funny thing is my oldest Brother taught math to high school and my other older Brother slept through trigonometry in High school cause it was to easy. What happened to me? But to my defense at least one of my Brothers can't grasp mechanical knowledge.

Ben when you add the 7.5" to the arms how much are moving the axle? I'm curious what is far enough forward and still looks good to you?

A inch forward but it also gives me a longer arm for less movement.

Yep. Then definitely get the new links going. I would push it as far forward as possible until you start running into forward clearance issues. Then find the happy medium. And like wade said, how's about some pvc links first.

It better... $7.62 a foot. The 95 was a guess but I venture to say that is on the high side.


Ordered up a bent ORD drag link today, I'll buy pvc tomorrow after work and By Wednesday hopefully have the real new and improved links in.

Yes I want 4 sticks of 1 1/2 PVC pipe... It's for a truck project building suspension, you sure this is going to be strong enough? For mock up yes but when it's 8 dollars a foot it's expensive goofing up... AGAIN

We do know. That you will be driving the car! It's OK. You possibly could have made it if you stuck with the leafs in front. You had that almost done before you decided on links. My best honest guess as when you will have this truck "done" honestly, is probably about another 10 months to a year. Which will put you done with plenty of time before bb15.

Well the new and improved links didn't make much difference maybe a 3/8 of a inch off the axle moving back but it will hit the arch of the frame so I have to move it to the original spot anyway.

Wondering if i should move the axle forward another inch?

Move it as far forward as you can before you start getting interference on the front side with the tires/fenders. For sure, go at least one inch forward of stock.
