That would be fantastic, we could do it at my place or on your frame. I have a welder and grinder.

I would be willing to pay for your time. Also forgot to say, I have a 80's 2wd frame, not sure how much different that is to a k5 frame but I don't know how far the axle is pushed forward to a 4wd spec.

Think I finally figured it out but I can't try it out tonight. :eek1:

The hoops will have to be verticle, the side toward the radiator will be welded directly on top of the rail, the side facing the cab will be done on a spud. I will use these mounts welded to the hoop.

Might even use some of those tube clamps so it's removable.

I came to the conclusion after looking at 4 ORD 4 link installs no one seems to use the hoops provided. :dunno:

Greg's titled I think motivated me into getting this, remember guys don't give up!

Why won't this work? Especially if using those tube connector. In this pic obviou sly, the red is the hoops, the green is the shock tabs, and the purple is the cross over tube.

I would need new hoops bent, I wanted them to be 1.75 minimum OD for strength. I will have to cut the frame and weld in a newer wider piece and plate that area anyway.

If you're still looking for tube discos. I've pretty much bought them from everyone and TMR just came out with these ones where both the bolts are one side. Way easier if you can't get to the back side. Wide open design has some really nice ones too.

I ended up using these on my seat mount console thing where the bars were close to the floor and I couldn't get to the bottom side.

Might be better for your application if it's tight and you don't have to worry about ordering from ballistic.

Just a thought.

Those are nice, I will probably order something like those from poly performance. I have 2 synergy ones I got with the ORD kit for the cross bar. :thumb:

Anybody see a problem with using the misalignment spacers at a angle on the shock? Will it prematurely wear it out?

the hoop would be at a slant, one leg on top of the rail the other on a spud to the side of the frame. This will clear my headers and hopefully everything else.

But why wouldn't the shock tab be flat at the top of the hoop?

Or are you meaning that the top shock bolt will not be parallel with the frame? If this is the case, turn the shock body to line up with the bolt.

Well I tried out the hoop ideas the driver side worked out good but the passenger side smacked right into the ac box, I might cut it down and re glass it in if it isn't to hard for a hack.

Here is the pictures from today's madness.

In this picture above you can see where I lost my drink I was just looking for. :doah: :haha:

This new phone takes weird pictures, I will have to adjust the settings a little.

Maybe this will give you a idea on how it is such a challenge for me and why it isn't working.

Isn't in the budget at the moment. :doah: how hard would it be to glass it in and would it effect anything?

I found a 14bsf for 20 bucks. :eek1:

I think a steeper bent, almost u shaped hoop, scooted forward, with the tabs mounted of the rear vertical tube.

Also you need to at some point get us a from the side shot of the engine compartment so we can see what your actually up against.
