Well it looks like my truck never came with that module. So it's not needed. I did notice it has spots for two brake switches, is one tied into the 700r4?
 
I Google the number on it. Looks like it's an electronic spark control module.

In that case, I really need it pretty badly. Evidently Chevy forgot to include this module on my 6.2 truck. You wouldn't believe how long I've been driving around without any form of spark control. Electric Spark Control will be such an improvement.

At my parents I have the tail gate badge up on the wall still, I pulled it off years ago. Fortunately dad did the mod to disable the esc years ago.

What are the downsides to esc? I have a set of fender badges that I'd like to eventually put on one of my diesel trucks (next to the 6.2 tag). Just to confuse people. :pimp: :haha:

You should also switch to electronic fuel injection, as the mechanical injection on that motor obviously can't keep up :rolleyes:
