So when you put it in drive it won't move at all? But when you put it into manual 1 it goes?
Once you get up to speed, can you put it in drive and it works?
Sounds like a burnt clutch pack to me, when you put it in manual 1 it applies a second clutch pack that allows the truck to move.

Man Ben I wish you were closer a basic rebuilt kit isn't that much. I'm not totally confident myself but I have a buddy who has just kept an eye on stuff to make sure I get it right.

I knew it was used but was told he was going to take a look before it went in. Well he didn't and the trans doesn't work right.

i thought we were under the impression he was taking yours apart, along with another "junk" one and making 1 good one? wasn't that just like 1 page ago? sounds like buddy needs a taint punt to get back on track.
