ATF burns into a giant white cloud, you can tell people it's a James Bond smoke emitter gadget for your super secret spy car.
At least that's what I did. My Chalet had a cloud big enough to hide it, which given the size of the camper was impressive. Also required most of a 2# extinguisher to put out.

To answer the what is a good temp for an auto to run at?
My experience says that's depending on fluid and hard parts. Good fluid and hard parts and a good normal is 180 to 200. Older transmissions with lesser hard parts probably 160 to 180.
Running fully built stuff with amsoil in the race car we liked to see 200, with spikes upto 230 being ok. We did see 260+ once or twice and it lived for the rest of the race. Builder said everything was good in those transmissions when he took them apart for scheduled tear downs.

picked these up today from shawn 63 inch springs. they wont go in for awhile, only because its going to open a huge can of warms on my truck.... But the other set.
It will be interesting to see which set gets used first. The other truck is in stages of a ls swap and my trans is out... Still haven't heard back from the builder.

Well my plan is to try and get 14 inches of travel. I will build shock hoops that retain the shape of the bed wheel wells, and retain a full bed while complimenting the front suspension.

Did I miss, are you running the saddle tank?
Yes and when these go in a k5 tank will take it's place.
I gotcha. This is where I opted to keep the tanks, and use the 58" spring. Had I made the effort to link the front, the rear would be 63"
Looking forward to the pictures
I'm not a huge fan of the saddle tank and I only have one so it seems like the same amount of work to add a blazer tank. It's also not as long so I won't get fuel starvation while wheeling.
