I'm going to wait, I don't have fluid anyway.
You haven't started buying 5-gallon buckets of the stuff yet?

So ,Ben, while I am reading through this thread, my son shows me the same picture of that dash that you posted on insta-gram....
How the hell do you get so much posting done????
Yes I am old. .....
I will have to keep that in mind especially sense I have access to a employee discount.
I couldn't take it anymore... The build officially started, what better day to start on Americas birthday on a old piece of American iron.

Yes that is a alignment shim falling out, it's so worn out it spits shims.

What dealership you work for? I typically buy all my parts from Van but went in there to have them unlock my navi in my Duramax. Dude was a absolute idiot, and my backup camera doesn't work lol, wants it for 3 hours on Tuesday so they can "figure it out" and it wasn't as easy as they thought. I explained they need not program just theft data delete and it was like I had three eyes. My truck has a Takata passenger side bag, based on my brief experience, these guys will leave me with rattles.
My buddy has a pass-through, but he's in queen creek. That's what I get for trying to avoid the drive.
Hehe dang that ifs was bad.... 4 years later and I'm going to work on it again cause america!!!!![]()

Thanks for 4 years of awesome tech and endless bunny trails.
Now that the truck is getting mobile again, hopefully the next 4 years involve real trails more than thought trails...

No problem, thanks for putting up with me.
When I started this truck it was a bit of a struggle to take the ifs out, I have never used a grinder, welded and barely knew how to read and tape measure. MAN have i learned a lot.

Besides, the bunny trails have been downright funny at times.![]()

No kidding. This thing is a work of art now. If you doubt, look how much deeper you dug compared to the average first rig. Very easy to put up with that kind of build.![]()
Those bunny trails stink! I hope this is the last trans that goes in for awhile.

Oh yes, those also. I had no idea what I was doing with most of these projects.Well, I was talking about the mental bunny trails, not the mechanical setbacks. Those just aren't fun for anyone except the guys selling tranny parts.![]()

That's what makes the end product so impressive.![]()
Couldn't have done it without Shawn's help.
