Well, sticking with the mall crawler theme, it is good looking. Sure beats a roll pan!

I like the clean look and gives me more approach angle? And I can use the trailer ball to get a step up i think. I'm 6 foot 1 and pretty young I can jump.
But when you step on it to get into the back of your box with the tailgate up there is a very good chance of loosing your nuts as you slip off the focking thing!!Especially if your boots are wet.
Mine got replaced with one I made.
Much better... and my nuts thanked me!
This was a weird place to pick up the thread tonight.
A blazer frame curves down at the back end. Looks like 14021357-58 May fit the truck frame from what I can find. Chevypartsprime.com show them both $10.26 for one and $12.26 for the other. Cheap enough to get and see if they fit or if they are for a blazer frame and can be modified to fit.

Looks better, doesn't kill departure angle.
Yours doesn't see many departure angle challenges.

My 77 had that bumper on it when I got it... funny you mention the middle frame brackets, mine where missing!? Lol!

True. I thought about that, but then I thought this was more of a sand rig like Wade's. Wasn't sure how much he was gonna care about departure angle. It is a mall crawler, after all...

Kind of a do all sort of truck.
Martin and I see the same way with the bumper.
Oh man, got off work at 6 and raced home. Pulled the gf's battery out and went to autozone, met the guy with my new bumper at 730.
Went to my parents house and put the new boat tires on then drove to my brothers house to drop the boat off. Got home about 10, put the battery in and checked the blazer frame brackets and it doesn't seem like it's going to work. It's now 10:30 I'm going to drink a beer eat food and go into work tomorrow at 7am.

My dad had a 85 shortbox 4x4 with a step bumper, he swapped it with one like you like off a suburban it wrapped around the bed side just I bit more than the stock pick up style. It looked nice and clean. I don1t care much for the factory step bumpers either. I think they look too bulky.

One more vote for the Blazer bumper.
They do look good but I grew up around farming so I like a good stout bumper that can handle some hits and be useful. I'd only go the factory style good looking bumper route if I wasn't going to be wheeling with it much.
