I don't think my wallet and pants can afford another engine, I ate to much top roman and gained 20lbs to get the engine. 
I'd run a synthetic or run an HDEO like delo or rotella, they have a good base stock and detergent package so you won't be cutting corners like energy conserving oils do.
You should be able to get either in 10/40 because it might be a bit much for 15/40 in the winter. Right now prob be fine.

And if you are concerned start to do used oil analysis every other oil change until they start to show the engine is done breaking in. 25$ for good informative data on "your" engine. Not anecdotal.
Napa brand 10W30. You might be able to get away with using a 15W40 in AZ but I've tried it up here in my wifes 6.0 and it throws a low oil pressure light in the winter on cold startups.
As I understand it Napa brand oil is re-labeled Valvoline. I've been running nothing but Napa brand in my wifes trucks and she has over 200,000 on this truck and had 150,000 on her old truck. This one is still running strong and doesn't burn oil, the old one was great the day her boss sold it to move her up into a new truck. Both were pushed hard hauling horses around Colorado without any issues, knocks on wood.

I used to have a 09 6.0 and ran Delvac 15w40 in it for diesels. Never had a problem and it quieted down the piston slap.
All of the listed diesel oils are great and minimally is right about napa brand oils being valvoline. I think a big part is proper intervals and sticking with one brand and not jumping around.. Consistency is a big part, and I'll bet the filter matters just as much.. I'm a wix/napa guy..
I always stick with the OEM filter, and I change oil a lot. I plan on doing this at 500 miles, 1000, 1500 then 3000 and every 3000 after that.
