Primed and started painting. Also stripped the trailer and scuffed it, will paint tomorrow along with wiring.

Sure bring it on up. If you really did mess up the trans already then there has got to be something else going on to keep causing your issues or you just have the worst luck in the world. Are you sure it's not the tcase or rear end still?

Pretty positive it's trans cause if it wasn't then it would do it in 1st gear to.

I ran moab last year on pretty much 1st gear only

Do the input/output spline counts match?

Don't you have a warranty on this transmission? I would think with little out of pocket and some of your time it would be smart to tow the rig there and you help them pull it out if you know them and let them see what might be up or reason behind problems.
