Your rig is so close to being awesome but I think it has a low self esteem and keeps self destructing because it's afraid of failing.
Hey if you guys rent a jeep can I be the loudmouth in the backseat.
The amount of effort you put in is above and beyond....it is not a surrender to let it slide untill you regroup!

I did a Jeep rental for BB2006.
I'd rather go to BlazerBash in a Jeep than not go at all.... Be warned, the Jeep rentals are pretty damn nice.
I got a Rubicon with a small lift, larger tires, front & rear ARBs, 4:1 transfercase, working A/C, etc. etc. I found myself weirdly conflicted.. The Jeep was functionally SO much better and more comfortable than my Blazer that it was pretty embarrassing. I ended up writing a big list of "must haves" for the Blazer so that my next Moab experience would be at least as good as that Jeep was.
Pretty sure that was a major contributor to my "Might As Well" philosophy a couple of years later.

Wow it was the same year and the same setup! Rubicon with a slight lift... Two of the guys with us had their own rubicons so they fit right in with the rental!
I think about the comfort of the guys that wheel in Jeeps a lot because that's 90% of what's driven in the 4x4 club I'm in. Especially when I'm sweating my ass off in the summer w/o AC but then I remind myself those those guys are also starting out with a $25,000 to $30,000 vehicle. It'd better be a damn sight more comfortable than my $1,200 base price truck.
I prefer "beater with a heater"
Its nice having all the modern comforts, but you're always nervous about damage on a nicer vehicle that you may owe money on.

Thank you, instead of those flat 4 way connectors going to rewire it with a 7 pin and use the battery power to recharge the boat batteries.
That's a good idea. All my trailers at work are set up that way for the break away batteries. They make some good little solar chargers too.
Sorry to hear about the further headaches. To eliminate the rear end suspicion, I'd pull the rear driveshaft and see if the problem persists. It would be a real headache to haul it back to the tranny builder just to find that the problem isn't the tranny. 
Actually, you could do a similar thing just by shifting the t-case into neutral. That would allow you to wind up as fast as you want without spinning either driveshaft.
Just don't try to put it in park after it gets wound up!

You would have to shut it down after doing what campy is suggesting.. The Trans won't slow itself down..
Also the trans doesn't make any noise in 1st gear I drove it around the neighborhood.
Are you sure it's not speed dependent? I know it sounds stupid, but 2nd gear driving is typically faster than 1st gear driving. Simply saying it's 1st gear isn't ruling everything out.
