Have you thought about trying a 700r4?
No would have to buy stuff and reprogram the ecm. I would just rather go 4l80e at that point.Have you thought about trying a 700r4?
Yes I can get a certified built one for about 1900 last time I checked. Can't you source a rebuilt from GM through your dealership? Warranty and all? Might be worth the additional cost up front.
I only have 1600 into 4 transmissions I have been getting lucky. But I believe this time around is going to cost a lot more.

That is what we believe is the issue, it's a beast shell but that doesn't mean muchbased on that video and what your saying about the grinding it sounds like the sunshell is broken or fractured. I would not even move it until you know for sure it is not other drivetrain because if you do you risk grenading the case and everything around it, pulling that IO shaft out and swapping the clutches and other stuff over to a new output with a good shell should not be expensive. because right now it is all new still.
Edit: The splines on the sunshell could be stripped too.
Does that include the 50 quarts of fluid?
I can honestly say that I've lost track of the all the transmission issues you've had.
Just added it up . I have spent about 320 dollars on fluid.Just added it up . I have spent about 320 dollars on fluid.
That's even at employee discount of GM Dex6crazy!

This^^^^^^^^^^^ Idk If I'd consider multiple cheap transmissions that don't work lucky![]()

So old math tells me $1600 + $350 = $1950. $50 over the GM built one with the warranty. Plus R&R 4 times and all of the missed fun and non driving days.
No brainer in my book.

Correct, but 700 was supposed to be a good trans and it was all I could afford at the time. The guy build it completely wrong. So old math tells me $1600 + $350 = $1950. $50 over the GM built one with the warranty. Plus R&R 4 times and all of the missed fun and non driving days.
