Pretty simple how it works, not difficult to work with just a little tricky.
So is the ShatBomb back together?
Just need to torque down the ring gear and the carrier is good to go back in. Going to be a little tricky sense the axle shaft is 8 inches from a wall.... I'll get it back in this week and have the truck driveable by Wednesday night. I go on a family reunion vacation 17th-21st.
How exactly does a Posi Trac rear end work? It just does.... My entire life is ruined, thanks Joe Dirtay...

Yay, fixed my digi click craftsman torque wrench.... was flashing codes.
Don't try and church it up son...
No I need to take it to work and torque down the ring gear, also the axle shaft from the wheel is 8 inches from the wall....
You only need to pull the axle out a couple inches....
I'm a fan of gaskets not rtv. I find it being a hack if a gasket is available, I also torque every bolt to spec.

RTV and 1/2in wrench for the win.

Right stuff.
It is my friend but gaskets rule everything around.
Unless they leak. Gaskets may be "right" but they're not always the best solution.
