Believe it's beyond a helicoil... The hole is wollowed out. I'll probably just jb weld it in and sense it accepts a Allan key I'll tighten it down that way and continue my search for a electric np241Pull it quick, install heli-coil, GO have fun!!!
I have an electric 243. I’ll make you a killer deal on it if you want it? Shipping shouldn’t be too much.Believe it's beyond a helicoil... The hole is wollowed out. Not really sure but as far as I know the 243 is basically a 241 with electric shift. They both have the 6 pinion planetaries and 27 or 32 spline input.Hmmm, I wonder what the difference is?
Sorry never responded to this, wonder if anyone has figured a easy way to make it shift? In a google search I found this. Lol

No worries! It can’t be too complicated? Mine still has the shift motor on itSorry never responded to this, wonder if anyone has figured a easy way to make it shift?
Everyone seems scared of it because of the electronic portion of it all.No worries! It can’t be too complicated? Mine still has the shift motor on it
I suppose it would be best to have the switch/knob/thingy but I really don’t have any idea how it works?Everyone seems scared of it because of the electronic portion of it all.
Looks like it requires that along with a module and the motor on the case.I suppose it would be best to have the switch/knob/thingy but I really don’t have any idea how it works?
Not much on the web about them.Looks like it requires that along with a module and the motor on the case.
That is what im running into. Not much on the web about them.
Why you gotta go and complicate things... we had a good thing going! LolDon't forget that the IFS 241/243's all have the driveshaft on the driver's side.
