I do have this, not sure what it is to be honest. It appears to be just a speedometer adapter to a electric gauge, I don't think it will work as a vss.

They will work for a vss, if it’s a sine wave generator they work. I got one for Ethel I never used from Dakota digital. You’ll have to prob have someone go in and setup your pulse counts so the trans shifts properly. You are deviating from the std 40 pulse tone ring so it will have to be adjusted

Yeah that's what I ran into with research. It would be easier and cheaper to just get the correct pulse.

Biggest difference is a 4 gear planetary versus a 6 gear. Planetary itself is a bit smaller too. You are definitely downgrading...

CaptRon Just pulled a 241 and a early nv4500 out of u-pull-it yard yesterday in Denver. They are out there. You just need to go dig for it.

I don’t understand the hang up on going to a 208? Just fix the 241 and be done. There’s no reason to swap anything or dick with converting it. You were looking for the easy answer and realized it’s not the easy answer so just do it the right way. Fix the 241.

That's what I'm coming to find out. I'll just save my Penny's and buy the stuff. I thought a 208 wouldn't be that big of a deal and my theory is it's way easier to come by then a 241

Doesn't someone make a VSS pulse generator that screws on to a mechanical speedo port?

Speedhut and Painless both over such solutions. Would be so much easier to grab another electric 241. BTW Ben I'll buy the tail cone, and tone ring off of your busted 241.

Another thing is a used case is running about 300 here that's the cost to rebuild mine. I'm also trying to have a spare good case. A 208 as a spare would work fine...
