That is not rust to him
In a bit when I get back on the desktop....Curious if @ryoken could put his two cents in on the rust.
PATCHES? He don't need no stinkin' patches!I want to say from the pictures you don't need patches
Yeah, but I'm trying to tell myself it doesn't have any. I'll try and take a look at it today, need to move it from the front to the side yard behind the gate.My 'Arizona' Jimmy had rust w/ holes through the floor boards. So it can happen.
Yes I agree, need to keep going but wanted to show what it was looking like.If it was mine, I would work on part by the seat and trans tunnel area, on the passenger side more, and I would also pull the seam sealer out in just the affected area of the passenger side kick panel.
I will have to look into those, and see what I can get.yeah, rust behind that seamsealer.... ideal is to media blast it... it would go soooper quick with everything well sanded/wirewheeled first.. just gotta try to keep it out of the dash...
if not, you could acid it to get more out of the pits, couple options that way, from nasty to mild....... OR you can go with a phosphoric acid, which is really converter.. clear, turns rust black, ospho, corroseal, being a couple...
My door weatherstripping has been shot for years. Is this how it started?Wet carpet. Last two blazer I had had rust, az trucks, both were results of chronic wet carpet
Rust was where carpet/padding was bunched up,
