I came up with a plan and will take some pictures and show what I have done later today.

I went to home depot for some work stuff and ended up walking out with material to mount this thing.

I'm just trying this time around to do the best quality work I can do and not have to do it again.
Nothing wrong with that at all. If you don't have any type of deadline to finish for, then by all means take your time.

We all know you do have a timeline to be done by. *Cough* BB *cough*. So you have to strike the balance between doing the best you can and actually getting it done. Building under a time constraint can be a blessing and a curse. It forces action, but it can be at a cost of quality. Only you can dictate where the balance is on your truck.

Don't skimp on safety, we like you to make it wherever you plan on taking it.

I took on a big project this year to get it to where I want to, it would have done BB just fine if I didn't take it apart. Nice little prep on it and fluid changed and I would have been done.

I get what you've done and the plans how they changed. We've all been there. You just have to be realistic to yourself on what you can and can't get done in time or if you can even make it.

I think if you look at David's one piece at a time build, his plans were to have the links and coil overs and rear suspension completed prior to BB last year. Even with his skill level it snowballed like many projects do. Added complexity of putting shock hoops and turbo plumbing in the same space really ate time up to get it done right. He had a pretty good tuition pile too. But ultimately he came to the conclusion he wanted to do it right vs meet a deadline and kept after it while missing BB. It happens to everyone.

Despite what all the rest of us clowns on the internet want you to do, it's your truck. Don't let pressure from outside compromise your direction on your build. Finish in time or stretch it out. BB will be there again.

Nope I completely get it, I'll have it at this BB and will most likely have to take a little compromise. Not sure if you remember the first go around of this thread I had no idea what I was doing lol.

I remember. But you had to start somewhere. We all did. Pretty cool to look back where it was and where it is now. You've done a lot, improved in many ways and not stopping. Keep it up!

David might have had his snowball, but he was pissed about it not being ready, too. He expects it to be on the road

Yes sir, I'm happy with the way it has turned out but now I can do better. The truck has some flaws and isn't perfect.

Exactly.
I always think about how I miss certain gathering because I am not ready, not that I am building anything out of the ordinary, but then I realize, I will have another opportunity next year.
I have been to 2: BB06 and BB18.
Hoping for BB22 but I will be perfectly fine if I can make it in 24, this time trying to build from the ground up the way I want it, which is simple but capable

Fan shroud mounted and filled with coolant, even wired two weather pack connectors for the fans. Thanks for the help @cashsk5garage

First time he has heard the truck run with the idle where it should. Damn thing shakes the body at idle. :haha:
Pssshh, mine shakes too. Oh wait, maybe it’s not supposed too. :D

Isn't a lopey idle normal for a toy? Only my daily drivers idle smoothly. :pimp1:

What would be the best way to run wires along the frame? I would like something rigid to where it doesn't shake around a lot but have it easily accessible for repairs or pulling out.
