So either your cam doesn't make that much vacuum, you have a vacuum leak, or the MAP sensor is not correct or correctly selected. Are you using the internal or external MAP sensor? Make sure you don't have 1 bar selected when you are using a 2 bar MAP sensor or something like that.

I would expect more vacuum at part throttle cruise.

What really puzzles me is I would have thought the tuner would have been able to catch this if it was on the dyno and why he didn't say anything?
 
Maybe there is nothing wrong, did you just increase the throttle when that image was taken?

The more throttle, the less vacuum.

You also don't have the cam with the least overlap.

Without seeing everything, we can't be sure.

What does the MAP sensor read with the key on and the engine off, and does it differ from the internal MAP sensor reading atmosphere?

If you want to double check this, hook a vacuum hose to your internal map sensor and switch it over and see if you get the same readings in the same conditions.

And look for a vacuum leak.
 
What does the internal map sensor read when the other reads 90, can you see that in the parameters?

90 seems low, not impossible, but unlikely. I would expect that at higher altitude, maybe 3000 ft or something depending on the weather.

Not sure if you can, I can try and switch it and see what happens.
 
148.5 miles on the truck today 12mpg 12.3 gallons of gas

Only issue was the alternator decided it doesn’t want to charge more then 13.2 volts and pulled down to 12.6 in the driveway.
 
Be interesting to T off of the intake w/ a manual hand-held vacuum gauge and compare.

Most of the valley here is 1150-1250ft elevation

That’s what I need to do and also eliminate the ls map sensor and use the internal hose to the ecm to compare
 
Been waiting 7 years to do the rear end. Can’t wait to try it out. :woot:

Good luck mounting those springs. We had to use a porta power between the eyes to stretch them enough to get the shackle hooked up.
 
I thought that the trick was to put a 2x4 or 4x4 across the top, between the eyes, and run a strap down around the spring, close to the center to help flatten them.
