Came home to a puddle under the truck almost passed the bumper… got pissed so the transfer case is almost out. For the life of me this never seals right. @r3dd0g this is what I’m up against.

Also the water pump gaskets decided to start leaking too, but I’m going to pretend I don’t see that one yet.

The water pump is easy. Ask me how I know lol
lol I know, I just don’t want to fix it then drain it a week later. This week it’s going to a show on Friday and then the cam swap happens.

Here is a better picture as to why it leaks. You can’t tell but back in there is a hole directly to the pan. Converter drains, overfills pan then comes up through the hole and sits against the right stuff gasket and eats it.

It's eating through Right Stuff? Wow

Maybe try one of those anaerobic sealants certain manufacturers use for oil pans and the like. I think there's a Mopar or a Honda brand one most guys swear by. Perhaps someone knows what I'm talking about?

Also it's not leaking from the bolt threads is it? I forget are the holes blind on the tcase?

I have tried anaerobic on it as well, same results. No they are not blind they have holes. I also studded the tcase so it just has nuts on the outside.

I’m going to fill those gaps in the adapter housing and put right stuff on with a putty knife.

It looks like the case wasn't cleaned enough before applying the right stuff so it didn't stick well.
I don't believe ATF affects it
I used a wire brush attachment on my angle grinder to clean it and wiped it down with brake cleaner after.

Honestly it makes no sense to me.

I have a 4l65e and 241 but don't have the leaking issues you have. Weird
