I also have a theory the frame is twisting, I’m adding in the new crossmember I had built along with the factory brace.

I just got done welding up the factory holes in the frame, 6 per side. And will drill new ones when I get home. On my way I plan on stopping for some atf rtv to give that a try and put the tcase back in tonight.

What are you using for engine/trans/tcase bushings and mounts?

You putting a little alien blood in your trans?? lol

Engine is on poly leaf spring bushings, trans is on a stock poly mount.

It might have a little extra sticky stuff from amsoil in it.

They're both on poly which is good, but if the frame is twisting and causing the problem, maybe a subframe to hold the trans/tcase as a solid unit would help. Did you also say you had problems w/ bolts loosening up?

Yes I did, but using Nord lock washers fixed it!

If those 2 surfaces were moving in relation to ea other, it could cause the bolts to loosen. Maybe there's something there, I dont know.

That’s my thinking as well, I got a new beefy cross member I want to put that stock brace in and will try and brace it more.

Long beds flex a lot behind the cab.

Everything is back together minus the brace rod, that will have to wait. After work it’s fluids and I’m off to the other side of town for the truck show.
