1983 K10, Shannons truck. ***UPDATE POST #418***

With some trimming to the lower, she got the shroud in. Can sit and run all day at 180 now.

Then today we took it for a nice fall color tour cruise and got lots of nice fall shots.

Happy running truck = smiley girl.

Nice! Looks like you are a week or so behind us, color-wise. Last year at this time we discovered (accidentally) that we could make fall happen twice if we timed a road trip just right. Looks like you found the only time and place where that truck is camouflaged. :haha:

pic 2: Is that the the steering wheel's natural (straight) position? :screwy:

Are those wheels running spacers, or are they just that wide? :eek1:

Yeah thats straight position. Could use an alignment im sure.

And they are just that wide lol.

don't waste your time .

tape measure and her for the extra hand . set toe your self .

then count # of turns left / right to make sure steering box is centered . if not adjust drag link till . this will not effect toe set.

and a lot of alignment shops wont be able to fit / read sensors with tire/rim combo that wide .

Definitely!

On a side note, does anybody have a heater blower motor kicking around that works? Shes trying to save cash, but no blower motor kinda brings the suck during the fall lol.

Is this a winter driver? Or is it gonna be parked like your rig is?

I've got one. It's in a truck I'm scraping so you can have it. AC cab right?

I picked up a brand new one from Autozone for like $13 this spring.

Her truck is looking pretty good! M22 was a bit green last weekend, you should catch it at the perfect time if you head up there this weekend!

Yessir! Does it work?

Yeah, it worked before I started tearing the truck apart. But..if they are only a few dollars at the parts store it may be cheaper to go that route vs. getting mine across the state.

FWIW: I'll be going on the BundyHill run and could bring it with me, but I doubt you want to wait 3 weeks for it.

and if new route there is a upgraded part # to use . gets more flow of air .

been talked about on here a few times in the past .

We are hoping to come. Just gonna run down in the sonic though if we do. Bring it if ya can. $15 or whatever is $15 at the end of the day lol.

I have a few used blower motors hanging around, most were replaced because they squealed like a stabbed pig on low speed when the truck was cold ,and I kept one or two that were good for spares from GM cars I parted out..

--I've never needed to replace one that died completely though--a few that I thought seized up turned out to have drinking straws or pencils stuck in the blower wheel,(or a rats nest !)--or the resistor was toasted...one I had was bound up tight, but after I removed it and sprayed it with some WD-40 and got the fan to spin again,it started working again and never gave me any trouble afterwards..

I'll pull it off and toss it in the K5 next time I'm out there.
