1984 K30 "C4" Truggy on Rockwells

I guess I forgot to update this that I technically took this thing out for its first little test a few weekends ago. It wasn’t anything special. A guy in my little town was trying to put on a “off-road” event. He invited a bunch of razor dudes and a bunch of Jeep guys (none of the Jeep guys showed up…go figure, haha). Basically all we did was some dirt/sand drags and then he setup an obstacle course with some bumps and jumps (razor guys were liking the obstacle course). I obviously wasn’t going to jump this thing on leaf springs, but it was still fun. One of my buddies from Mt. Home came over for it and we drag raced a couple times. In the video below, he was spraying a 150 shot of nitrous on the 5.3 under the hood in this. So I was pretty happy my bone stock 454 was keeping up. Another round we did he said he wouldn’t spraying and I beat him on that one.

In the end it was successful though. It was a really hot day (100 degrees) and I purposefully let the thing run for a long time at both idle and normal running and it never got hot. And everything ran great! Next will be to get it out on an actual trail. Then some tube bending

For some reason I can't see the video. Wonder if it's just my crappy internet. There's sound.

It does the same thing when I'm on my work computer. But when I look at it on my phone, it works. Not sure why

Wowsers! That thing is going to be a monster!

That's what I was always going for. As I said at the very beginning, I was shooting for a Cousin Willard from ORD style rig, but just bigger and more truggy style :waytogo:

I was going to say, I think it would run over Willard.

Big ol' truck!

It’s not lacking in stature, that’s for sure. The 47’s look just right on this thing now. Looks proportionate. I still wanna be able to take this thing down hard legit rock trails, and at this wheelbase a little bigger tire and height should help that (but you know all about wheeling a long wheelbase, so I’m preaching to the choir :D)

Yeah, I don't think you'll have much trouble. The only trail that I've had wheelbase trouble is Steel Bender on the exit, twice now. First time was the rear shaft, second time the saddle tanks.

Saw some 58s for the first time this weekend. Thought of this truck when i saw them.20210807_121854.jpg
