1985 LS powered rock crawler

Ripped out all the old AC stuff so i was left with holes in the fire wall. Cut a few pieces of 80/1000 aluminum and riveted them in; Problems solved (looks nice too)

So no heat or defrost?

For now, no. I live in Southern California & there are very few days heat is necessary. :thumb: Come summer time, ill probably want AC but i can live without it unlit i get a vintage air set up later down the road
 
My motor cam with these holes in the intake manifold, looking at stock manifolds, i can see one is just plugged and one is a vacuum port or something. but i can not find the proper plugs to put in these holes :confused: Any one know of anywhere to get these or what to do here?

Looks like you are talking about the engine cover mounts. From what I understand, those aren't supposed to be removed. So probably won't be able to find new ones to stick back in there. You will either have to find a good way to plug them, or get a different intake.

One is a engine cover mount & the other is a port for a hose to connect to it. & I'm going to try & find some plugs that will work good so i don't have to buy a new intake. trying to make things as cheap as possible now. I'm already $5,800 into this swap:doah::doah::doah::doah:
 
probably could find an expanding rubber plug at the hardware store that would fit those.
 
Finally working on her again!

Being a full time student & working full time leaves not much time to work on the blazer :doah: the two have been crazy lately. but found some time last night after work to build my new trans crossmember. Turned out pretty nice i think! Clean & simple. and doesn't hang down 10ft past the frame rails like the factory ones do!:dunno: let me know what you guys think

Thanks! & yes I am. Not all the way because I don't want to deal with the body work but it will be clocked up more than factory. Hate how low all the factory stuff in that area hangs.

I agree with you there. I don't hit mine as much as I thought I would, since it's still facotry, but i've been told that's cause I don't wheel hard enough...:dunno:

I smashed my old crossmember & t case on everything! I guess It depends on what kind of terrain you wheel on. The only good wheeling in southern California is rocks & it's near impossible to not bang it on everything in the rocks. Unless you're doing super easy trails....
 
Just doing a little plumbing! :thumb: Walbro fuel pump, holly fuel filter & -6 braided line & pretty AN fittings! This makes me very happy! :waytogo: haha
