1986 M1008 Rebuild

Just got back from The crazy eight in Richfield UT:DI don't have any pictures of me but hopefully someone will post some on our local board that I will bring over here. I actually did all these water falls easier than the jeeps and only me and one other buggy made the last big one, but unfortunitley I stopped to early and slid back down a bit and while attempting to get back up I broke my front driveshaft, starter, and craked my T-case. Then killed the batteries since I didn't yet know about the starter. Had to tow it back to the trailer which caused some major leaking in my power steering pump:D
Here's some pictures.

Last set!
Now I need to install my doubler & link the rear, convert to 12 volt system, make new stronger drive shafts. Then go beat it some more:D

Yeah I think I'll just switch to a high steer setup. Well I stole a starter from the other M1008 I'm parting right now and wala it's alive again:D I think I'm also gonna steal the t-case and front drive shaft to get it going. If I start the doubler and link project now I could miss Blazer bash and I really want to attend this year:D

No BB10 for me this year:sign19: Yes I know but the t-case in my donor is also craked, And I really need the protection of a cage so I can drag one of my kids along with me.:waytogo:

So I'm gonna;
Build a new drag link
Install my doubler
Shorten & link the rear
Build a cage
Build boat sides
Disc brakes for the rear
Install some better seats with a harness
Switch to a 12 volt system

That will be all for this phase so I can contuine to beat on it:pimp:

I blame
Blazinzuk, Chaddy, the guy with the cummins powered crew cab, boondock5, blue90,kgblazerfive and who ever else was at that meet and greet last November:D
