I was so excited to see the new rallyes on this truck when saw the tread....only to be let down by F**kin wagon wheels....

To much white.

Still love the truck. (That truck was my exact dream to have when I was 16, which I couldn't find which lead me to my build.)
Just wished you went the other way.

LOL well the bright side is that I will try it the other way at some point just to see. They aren't just wagon wheels. They are factory GM styled wheels. That makes them cool all in itself

I know. I'll give you props for the period correctness. But I just prefer the rallyes.
But then again I didn't hate those other wheels that much. They didn't quite work but I have seen worse.
At the end of the day as long as you like that's all that matters

Ok so something I didn't notice until @82355 pointed it out when I was buying the truck is the center stripe in the grille is not the correct color. Red/white/red should have a red stripe.

Basically since then it has bothered me and now I notice that on tons of other 85-87 grilles.

Anyway it's getting fixed.









That was as far as I got before work today. I may end up cleaning up the black on the core support before it goes back together as well.

Took advantage of the nice weather and got it washed before it gets put away for awhile.

Cool to see Mt Baker, We use to live about a hour away, we could ride Dirt bikes from our place over the mountan to the road that goes there. Thankfully we never caught by the border patrol!
