I did know a guy that had one that was making something out of it and was not going to use the body. Don't know if he still has it but I can check. Not even totally sure of the shape its in.

seeing how tuff that bumper was i dont think alot is gonna be unbolted from the chassis, more like alot of cutting and grinding

When I did my suspention lift every bolt but one had to be cut. I have an impact wrench too :(

WOW, That is a nice score!:waytogo:
You must have a fortune in just body parts.:roll eyes:
But it is much better to have GM body parts. That is what I used when mine was fixed and painted.

My friend has a Brand new GM hood in the box, in his storage building. what do you think it is worth?

USSkoval "Nice:waytogo:

...now that your search is over, you want to find me a hood:D"

its worth whatever he is willing to pay for it!

remove 1/4 panel

i probally should have waited to buy a spot weld cutter online bc i couldnt find one locally. a drill bit and a screwdriver are not the right way to remove spot welds <stuip beer made it seem like a good idea>

its getting bad

its really easy to get discouraged when you get the whole view of the "new england cancer" im not sure what i have left to work with. you cant patch panels to something thats lying on the ground as rusty flakes...

:doah:
Man I don't get it why the people over there do this?
Here they are crushing perfectly good tubs because no one buys them, pay a few hundred bucks for one here and ship it, you will be out less $$$ and be done in a week or so.:eek1:
I just can't stand watching people do this.
If it was the last blazer on earth I would understand, but common, it's more than 50% gone.:dunno:

well if i could find good metal im willing to buy and pay for shipping, i cant find any k5 bodys for sale
you have any leads? id appreciate the help

Well right now I don't, but last week I saw some get crushed, and a couple of months ago, I cut up a good tub, I di however sell the pieces to people in the east coast that had small areas to be repaired, but when it's that bad, I feel sorry for you guys.
If you are not in too much of a hurry, I can sure be on the look out for you.

i have nothing but time and im already invested in this project. if you could come across good sheet metal that i could weld to id greatly appreciate it!! im not sure whats more cost effective buying a complete rig or paying someone to put the tub on a pallet and ship it either way its obvious that i need help. all i really need is the floor from the fuse block back to the rear wheel wells. everything else i already have
