You mention your son several times in this thread. How old a dude are you? Its nice to see older folks still building/wheeling/dealing big rigs like ours. I'm 38 and still have no desire to hang up the 4x scene.
allright!! i can appreciate this build!! i recently aquired a red k30 and so far i have been paid 500 to have it. my overall goal is to be under 2000 bucks with tires and the doubler. ive made some crazy deals before and hoping to keep that going with this red truck. take your time and wait for some awesome deals to come up. theyre out there!!
A good budy of mine just gave me a quote "The deal of a lifetime comes around every two weeks" or something like that. So far on Craigslist, I think thats true. Good luck on your 2K K30.

I learned something today (doesn't happen very often), 4" lift springs in 48", 52" and 56" are all different heights. I knew the 48" (front) springs would be different from the rear, but I guess I thought the rears would be the same. My son and I compared his 1/2 ton and my V30 and figured out that the fwd spring hanger is at a different height between the two. You guys probably already knew that, but it was an enlightening for me.
