So I take it that it didn't look anything like that body you brought down to me?True it was unmolested but not clean. I started to take the carpet up to check stuff................. I just put it back down and walked away trying to forget what I saw.
It was definitely a Utah truck
Pretty hard to find clean bodies like that one, now if only I could get around to getting it put onto Krusty. So I take it that it didn't look anything like that body you brought down to me?Pretty hard to find clean bodies like that one, now if only I could get around to getting it put onto Krusty.

That's a ways down the line for me, if I am doing the work to swap bodies I want to get the frame stripped, painted and a ton of other stuff. I need to get some cash set aside to pick up a shackle flip from Kert as well.Jason you and me need to have a work weekend where everyone gets together and helps us do the body swap![]()

Spent its entire life in utah till 2010. Must have been a different part of utah
Its spot less under there
Krusty started life in Utah, and trust me when I say that it had a lot of rust. Certainly not rust belt level, but most of Utah uses heavy salt on the roads during the winter and it takes a hell of a toll on our vehicles. Luckily Eric provided me with a very clean, I'm talking factory fresh underneath, replacement tub for her. Down south though it isn't nearly as bad in many areas. So's my burb.Spent its entire life in utah till 2010. Must have been a different part of utah

family time rules!Sweet. I wish we still had a drive -in. Good times.
Went out this morning and started the truck, was 25 outside I had not plugged it in and it fired right up with no trouble. I am very excited the engine seems to be doing so well.
I am going to drive the crap out of this thing once I get the trans installed![]()
This is not a tech thread, you need to post your own thread, but I will tell you, you have a leak in your fuel system and the little bit of air going in makes it hard to start, but with a whiff of starting fluid it starts.I have to give my 6.2 with a banks a spray of starter to get it going no matter what the tempature is... Glow plugs replaced not too long ago, what else do I need to do?

Are you sure your glow plugs are coming on?
You do realize that using starting fluid in these motors can cause damage to the glow plug system.
I would start by bypassing the glowplug control and doing it manually.
Issam is right though they are super sensitive to air in the system. My fuel pump was leaking just a bit and it made it very hard to start
