Hard to see but the female splines are jacked. Gonna ask the shop to rebuild it and burn a collar around the top for extra support
 
Either it smoked the female splines and weld from hooking up when it forced the front into traction, or the more likely scenario is the pinion wrapped down so hard it bound the shaft at the CV when it hooked. It also could have bound at the yoke on the pinion.

Unfortunately in the videos the undercarriage area is shaded. But I'm pretty certain it wrapped real hard when the rear axle hit the undercut and wanted to start climbing. I bet the new ORD springs will eliminate alot of this issue.

Either way it was worth a shot :waytogo:
 
No more pounding on the corners of the hood trying to get the amount of force and angle just right to pop it up and not re-latch!
