Put weight on them

I'm not really thrilled with the shackle angle considering there's no load, not even a full gas tank. Going to flatten the bump in the frame and move the rear hanger back more. Also thinking im going to swap the overload leaf with a zero rate and push the axle back more, as it sits now its about an inch back from where the old axle sat.

Moved the rear hangers back further but they were on top of the hump on the back of the frame so it needed cut out and flattened.

End result that im more happy with 20200131_175613.jpg

The np241 is out, waiting for the housing to come back from offroad design where it's getting fitted for the VSS and I can get the doubler up in place and get the angle on the rear axle set and perches welded in their final place.

Update

So here is where she sits as of today, just got fenders back on though they'll need cut more.

Hydro assist all installed, doubler in, front and rear drive shafts in cable shifter for the doubler installed. Have to work on the exhaust but should be mobile as of right now.

Roll cage is all welded into place and seats and harnesses are in20200624_165430.jpg 20200626_152926.jpg

Starting to tie the cage into the frame. Rears are done thanks in no small part to the sweet fish plates

Next step is sliders and getting those tied into the cage and frame, I've got some options but I'm waffling between having them below the body line or integrating... Boat siding? Idk

Took it for a shakedown run that didn't last because as soon as it flexed a bit and the axle wrapped the front slip fell out, managed to still flex it out on a rock. Impressed with the flex honestly

Bill's Englewood driveshaft handled the spline issue, good guys who know squares over there

Shakedown 2.0 went much better. Made it through saran wrap and eagle rock with a little body damage. Overall very pleased with how it rides and flexes and performs overall. It's a whole new truck. No great pics from the trail

@Tnsejed and I were talking about the front driveshaft length, he’s gonna chat you up about that

Tell me @Tnsejed do you always travel with a banjo?

@rderosier theres a few places in Moab that you can punch the t case off the transmission. We want to make sure you don’t have that kind of Moab experience

When I slipped the shaft the first time and we flexed it with no shaft in we took a measurement at ride height and a measurement with the passenger stuffed and it was ~.25" difference. I currently have 3-4 inches of plunge at ride height.

.25” is probably it enough is you drop that nose down hard. Todd and I talked about it on the phone, he’ll help make sure it’s cool
