I’m hoping that I can get the chromoly keepers on with doing that and not running into a fully compressed spring. I’ve got more learning to do to make sure my parts all work together like that.
If you don't want to make a fitting to pressurize it, you can feed a rope with the piston low then turn it up to compress the rope against the valvesThat is exactly how you do it actually. I really don’t feel like pulling the injectors and fuel lines and making the tool to pressurize the cylinder but that’s the right way to do it.
I’m also not yet fully confident in myself doing this so it’s time to learn it in its entirety apparently. I had real good help when it was first done.
Never had that problemThe rope trick has a possibility of the rope not wanting to come back out, and or, cutting bits of it up in there.

Put twelve hours of seat time on the k30 today. Brought it home a square buddy.

Yeah but it's a dodge!I prefer driving this over the dodge but not because it’s better. It is just to stroke the ego and have a rocket ship square body.
It was to build something I had never done before and learn new stuff.
The dodge is better in nearly every way.
It’s an 06 crew cab long bed 4x4. 5.9 g56 271 with 3.73s and 295s. It is 2500 pounds heavier and has 100 less horsepower and 200 foot lbs less than the k30 but it is still better. It stops better, handles the load better, has a better frame, longarm front and progressive rear springs, ac is better, radio is definitely shit but it’ll do. I put fourth gen seats in it and those are better to.
