1995 burb SAS: Rockwells and 47s.....

Plyr have you run that PS cooler in that orientation before? Ever experience any problems that could be directly related to positioning of the in/outlets?
I know GM trucks are installed like that, others argue its not the correct mounting for a cooler, but I've put my PS cooler and Trans coolers in like that as well.

Do you mean the inlet/out parallel to the ground? Do people argue they're supposed to go verticle? It was kind of a pain to bleed, but psc says it will be and could take several hours to complete. Once I got it bled I haven't had any issues with it.

June 14 is Father's Day and our local clubs put on a meet and greet every year on that weekend. YellowK20 was just there finishing up the obstacle course. I hope to have it done by then. I'm always so motivated when I'm at work, then when I get home I get so sidetracked with so many different projects. Last time we pulled apart YellowK20s nv5600 one night because we got bored. He wasn't even around.

I just need to get focused and finish the thing.

actually I was looking at the one on the left...I guess that would be a factory trans cooler, not PS, anyhow I got both of my coolers feed in/out at the bottom like my factory coolers on my 99 2500.

I think that's the factory oil cooler. I think the trans cooler is in the radiator. Maybe I'm backwards. Never messed with it. I mounted the steering cooler like that just because it was easier. Never even thought about it though. I could see it being harder to bleed with the inlet/outlet being down. Probably not a big deal when it's pulling from a large sump though.

Haha!

Well, update us as soon as you get back at it:popcorn:

Love the build.

Ive spent a ton of time at work. Im actually paying a few buddies that could use some money to finish it up for me right now. We'll see where they get. Just picked up a 75 c&c that im going to bag and am currently in the process of piecing together a 507.

@76zimmer that cooler on the left is a transcooler. The fluid goes through the radiator, then through that cooler, before being returned to the transmission

Not sure how I've missed this thread. Totally bad a$$. Glad you kept that front end I like those.

Not sure if Adam will post up anytime soon , but so far he loves them .

My brother just put some of those 47" LTB's on his rig running rockwells too. Only took them out once so far in the snow, but he seems to like them so far. He's hoping the sidewalls will loosen up a little bit with some time on them (new tires)

Burb is awesome looking!

Like Gus said, I really like them. The side walls have really loosend up. Before at 0 the side wall would just have a nice bulge (hehe) now they'll lay completely over at 0. Wheel on the ground.
