454crew submitted a new Build:

1998 2wd to 4wd, CCLB SAS

Finally going to be starting the SAS on my '98 Silverado 3500, crew cab long bed. Been finding parts and planning out since I got the truck about 8 months ago. Progress might be a bit slow as there isn't always garage time with three kids and a full time job, but I'll post updates as I can.
Started with a stock '98 3500

Leveled it and put 285s on

Had some time before work to mill the knuckle flat, drill and tap it and rough out the steering arm.

More parts start showing up today, let the fun continue.

Got the steering arm finished up, and new ball joints are installed. Knuckles are done, just need some paint.

Also, let me know if you are still needing some pictures. I can't remember if I got them all to you.

You sent me quite a few, helped me put my plan together. Have you found any other issues with yours now that it's been on the road a while? Think I've fixed a few of the common issues anyway, always open to input though

Honestly, it's doing great. The only issue I have is how stiff the springs are.

Mocked up knuckles and springs to check clearance for drag link and tie rod. Was hoping to move the tie rod to the top of the arms but not going to clear, so oh well. Also checked the color choice I've been thinking of, thinking it will look good.

Be running 285 75 16. Might step it up in the future but would like to stay with that if I can

They are 52" ez rides, 2"lift. Have a feeling they might be on the soft side a little, will add a leaf if that's the case.
