So after 4 days of camping, my wife and I have agreed that this camper is too small. We need just a bit more space. So it's going up for sale soon and going to look for a slightly larger slide in camper that's not a pop-up. It serves its purpose, but we are just too cramped.

Set up at the camp sight. Gorgeous weather this weekend. Got a tad windy today, but not bad at all.

And back home and unloaded to return to work duties and to swap beds in the next few days. Oh, and add the gooseneck hitch that I've had for a year or so.

Possibly both. I don't want too much longer so I can use the factory hitch to tow. But I could always add an extension. As for taller, no. The non pop-up style campers have a lot more storage and a little more floor space. Height doesn't change much once popped up.
 
I would love to do some kind of off road expedition camper truck build but with me, the wife, and 4 boys we always need as much room as possible. I will probably end up buying a 36-40' triple axle toy hauler in the next few yrs if I can afford it. You cant have enough room with 6 of us and a side by side and all the atvs and toys the kids are getting into. Only thing that sucks is dragging those big monsters up into the mtns. Other option is pulling doubles with a normal fifth wheel or maybe a cool box truck camper build with a trailer behind it. It's hard cuz there is no one solution to do everything and haul everything.

We have very similar goals. A small trailer behind the CC with the camper in the back, and either a RZR or quads on the small trailer, or hauling the Jimmy to the wheelin destinations.

And just the truck/camper sometimes for more of a traveling vacation.

You're running driver-side drop, yes? So the stock 4x4 crossover pipe should more or less fit. :thinking:


Take a picture of the current exhaust, the armchair quarterbacks will be more than happy to give you dubious answers to your exhaust needs. :waytogo:

The stock x-over pipe for these trucks won't work for mine. The stock front driveshaft doesn't move due to the IFS, but my front d-shaft will articulate with the axle.
