2003 Duramax -Injectors done, and front end rebuild overdue.

Ball joints went in without much fighting. Also discovered one of the uppers was factory still at 170k. But even more exciting, the bearings up from are Timkens, so that’s cool.

So much like Dave, my hood was not in the best shape. I was also wanting to upgrade my front end to the 05+ HD hood and grille. Well I got lucky and a truck came in to work with a good hood and grille in my same paint code. So I snagged them both and put them on the truck tonight. Nice front end update and nice paint.
Old hood. Clear coat was staring to go and it had tons of rock chips.
New hood. One small hail ding.

Greg I figure you must know if 2001 1500 silverado front fenders will fit my 2002 2500HD ?
I found as set for sale with the same paint code as my truck.
I cant seem to find out for sure if they are the same or not.

Should be. Only the hood changed for the HD hood in those years. Well grill to. But fenders should interchange.
Yep Beags is correct. Fenders work on all the 1500/2500/3500 trucks/Suburban/Tahoe all of them fit lol
That what I know as well but I need to know for sure.

GMC/Chevy do not interchange. The corner by the light is different.
This is what I’m talking about the pewter truck is my 02 with the hd hood. The white one is my kids 01 Gmc with the low hood.
