2007 Build at a Glance

OK here are some pics from this weekend.
The front is maxed out in these pics. Drivers is rubbing the tube and the passenger is on it's limit strap. Pretty good IMO.

It doesn't look like the rear is doing it's part. Opposite of any truck I have ever wheeled. I normally get great flex out of the rear wend and nothing out of the front.

The rear is lighter but it has heavier springs. We had to do that to get the ride height leveled out. When it gets on the rocks, the rear flexes rather nicely.

ok, I know flex tests arent always all telling as to what a vehicle will do on the trail. You guys are doing an awesome job though.

Jason is proud of all the work you guys have done, I can feel it. Keep up the great work, and keep the pictures coming.

MMMMMM Parts!!!!!!

I got the Orbital all mounted and plumbed up again. I was fortunate to be able to reuse everything from the old one. The new one is slightly larger but it bolted right up.

Here is the Ram mocked up. I will be bolting it down and adding the plate in front of it again.

I going to rain on your parade, but did you take in account the shaft diameter also when you ordered the ram? The shaft looks too big for that bore of ram. You suppose to subtract the shaft diameter from the bore to figure out the force of the ram.
Area of piston - area taken by the shaft x psi.

Yup, all that was taken into consideration.:wink1: It was mulled over by many an expert to determine what needing to go on in order to turn the gynormous tires under a gynormous truck.

Good, I would hate to heard you guys did all that work and the steering still does not work right.

GOOD NEWS GOOD NEWS!!!!

The truck can steer once again. I put it all back together this afternoon for a quick test and the wheels will turn lock to lock with little effort. Tires aired down and all.

Now to button up all the little **** and we are golden.

sweet, I bet that feels good to be that much closer! Be sure to take tons of pics in Moh-hab :)

can we get vinyl decals of that image too that is seen on the rear window of the limo?

****in' sweet!! I've been following the discussion over on pirate and was hoping that it would all work out this go-round. I figured with all the big brains you had giving input it would, but we all know what happens to the best laid plans....

Great job Este :saweet: !!

From time to time I’ve thank many of Jason’s friends for being here for me and helping get the Truggy done. And I keep making lists because that’s what I do so nothing is forgotten and Jason really hated lists, even though he made them himself and always followed mine. Anyways, there has been one guy that has been with me all the way from being at my house shortly after I heard the news through working without complaint in Bakersfield’s 100+ temps on the Truggy. He never argues with my sometimes stupid requests, he’s always the first to volunteer, never asks for any kind of special treatment, gives up what little time he has between work and family just for me and was one of Jason very best friends and always will be. I just want everyone to know how much Debbie and I love him and if possible, I would honor Esteban86K5 as Wheeler of the year. He epitomizes everything a true friend and wheeler should be. Thanks Este
