Making a little progress. My goal for yesterday was to remove the radiator, which I eventually did.
The worst part was loosening the 2 Torx (?!) screws holding the front plastic belly pan onto the plastic inner fender wheel wells. Good lord, those things were bound and determined to stay put. Ruined the bolt head with Torx and allens, and its low, rounded profile made it nearly impossible to get pliers or vise grips on.
So I eventually cut around one of them with tin snips and will just zip tie it or something when I get this all back together.
Another thing that's confusing to me, since I haven't worked on late model GM stuff very much, was the c-clips holding hoses together. Hardline trans cooler hoses into the rad use a tiny metal clip to hold them together, so I had to run and buy a set of picks to remove them.
And I promptly lost 2 of them. So small, you can't even hear them hit the floor.
Today's goal is to remove the cowl and make more progress.
