2014 Silverado 1500 rear end vibes

It's definitely in the seat, I was pondering the idea of the fact that I took the rake out and now the truck sits Level that maybe the Castor is causing some of it? That's why I had it aligned again but it made no change.
That shouldn't do anything because the truck is designed so if you load it to max payload it should be about level and still handle fine.

I'd take the rear shocks off and inspect them to see if they are still pressurized with oil in them, just removing one end would probably tell you, and spin your tires in neutral off the ground so you can check the runout.

Also give your driveshaft a good wiggle to check the u-joints and pinion bearings for slop. It would help to have it on the ground for this, but slightly rolled off the parking pin and wheel chocked so the driveshaft has some free play and isn't holding the vehicle from rolling.

Yea I've done most of this already I'll check the shocks but at this point this all started when I changed the shocks so I think I'll be shopping for a better brand and I'll just have to add the front lift on top of the coil overs to keep my front hitch off the ground

If you do change the shocks, whether it solves the problem or not, I would get factory replacement Bilsteins, so much better than the cheap parts store junk. My distributor doesn't have that part number in stock...

I'll probably start with the rears first

35 psi is c rated tire. I would think D would minimum for a 1500. Lowering the air pressure is still a good idea

Multi-task. Short days and my shop is still a disaster it was easier to grab my foldable jack and stands and cordless and do it in the field at work it's 28 degrees so I feel ya guys up north :yikes:

Will fallow up after the ride home. Fingers crossed

Did you notice anything wrong with the shocks you took off? Were they still pressurized?

I'm not seeing anything wrong with the shocks. I feel like they may just be too stiff for this truck this transferring all road and tire irregularities through the chassis.

Anyhow the bilstien shocks are a definite improvement. The vibes don't start until 70 mph now and aren't as bad.

Next I'll have to change out the front c/o's bc I suspect the spring rate is too heavy for this truck with the aluminum Lv3 up front.
Now one of the tpms sensors is goin bad I can't win :doah:

So since the rear shocks did not solve my problems, does anyone have a part number for bilstien front strut/coil overs? Preferably with springs as I think the rate on the rancho struts I'm running now are most of the problem.
My plan is to run a stock length with a 2" lift spacer on top to keep level.
I really hope it's not the truck being level causing a vibe from the Castor change from the lack of rake.

The Bilstein 5100’s don’t come with springs. The 6112’s do but they’re pricier.

Still wondering about the “trueness” of that rear axle. Common issue with that generation truck.

AJ is correct.

5100 part number is 24-238304

6112 kit is 47-273702

You think the axle is bent? It kinda feels like it. I don't know what I'd do about that though

This problem did start after I put the rancho shocks on the front. I developed the vibe or shake that it currently has. So I thought OK I'll do the rear shocks maybe they can't keep up or unmatched. Nope. Had a weird bounce coming up onto the ramps of the lift in the front on the passenger side. OK order anoth 200$ strut for the passenger side. It doesn't do the bounce but no shake improvement. This is really frustrating bc I travel a couple hours a day and I want my modern truck to be comfortable

Do you still have the old front shocks?

This is a really weird issue and I'm curious what the fix is.
