2018 last minute thrash.

Front axle finally pulled apart and found about 1.5-2" of crap in the bottom of the diff, and about .5" in the bottom of the tubes...no wonder the seals started leaking. Checked the gears and they are fine, cleaned out the diff and tubes, and now I gotta change the ujoints in the axle shafts and the seals. I'm debating as to whether or not it would be worth replacing the shafts - the ujoints are pretty well rusted in there and it looks like there's a nice wear ring where they ride in the axle seal. I tried a BFH, BFH with shafts in vice, and using the vice with a oversized socket on one end and a smaller socket on the other to try and press them out - no luck. I could just take them into a shop where they have a nice hydraulic press or I can replace the shafts. I priced out a set of chromoly's at about $600 for a full replacement but that's about half to a D60 at that point...ideas?

I would be throwing those away. You could see if you can get a speedi-slave to drive over it.
All of the packets, BBQ stuff, raffle prizes and misc stuff are loaded in the camper. Frankenliner and the Jimmy are full of fuel.

Got the oil changed, new wiper blades, cleaned the air filter and installed the mud flaps as required by Johnny law. Started on the front u-joints, but O'really's gave me the wrong joints, and we found the correct ones after the cutoff time to get them from the other store. I'll finish that on Monday and hopefully get all the CB stuff so I can install it before I leave.
Oil changed ,rear brakes done and new glow plugs since check engine light came on on the tow rig. T/Case and front drive shaft in blazer , Stevie wonder and ray Charles stopped by to help with fender trimming. Still need to mount and wire winch, install rear shocks and put c b in then load tools and mount spare tire for trailer. Probably still forgetting something, and still dealing with the left side of my face being paralyzed from bels palsy.
Just ordered a full set of yukon 4340 axle shafts, supposed to be here Wednesday. Gotta get everything else done before then. Mount tool/parts box, fire extinguisher, CB, lights, change oil, weld in new exhaust...taking it to the wire, lol.
