I believe that article is a couple of years old. That's where I first heard of the internal pneumatic beadlocks.

Cool idea. Especially that you can run the rims you want.

Edit: Oh yeah... the Fuzz can't easily bust you for having beadlocks...

pricing

$425 shipped for a set of 4 anywhere in the lower 48. that kills the price of Stauns at $184 each for my application. total $780 with tax.

I wonder if the stuff written about the Stauns holds true with those... Like the safety benefit if you blow out a tire while going down the road. It's almost a run-flat...very cool.

heard this as well

even better then Stauns are "Inner Air Locks" they are cheaper, made in America and have solved the problems that the Stauns have. I have heard from some hardcore wheelers that the Stauns rub the inside of the tire to the point of sidewall failure.

It's not that they bust you for having beadlocks... they bust you for modifying the wheel that was originally DOT approved since you have to cut the lip off...
That's why the Staun's (and other internal locks) are street legal... sure they're still beadlocks but you don't have to modify the wheels...

I'd imagine it is... you run them at like 50psi...

Thats not a bad price at all

I think I want to do some bronze colored wheels on my truck

It's dark blue and grey factory two tone, I think It will look good

I'm going to get 15x10's Bart seems to be the only place that offers 8 lug 15's, are there any other places?

And this is the color

redir

Heres how I'm going to make my front hangers, I just drew this up on autocad real quick

The big hole is 1.75" and I'll have a piece of tubing running across the whole way to connect them and give them strength, the small hole is 7/16 where the spring will bolt to, the side with the small hole will go forward. The top will have flat plate welded to it and this is where it will bolt to the frame

lots of people offer 8 lug 15's... check out summit and 4 wheel parts for a reference...

Summit has them for roughly $50 each in the 15x10 8x6.5" 4" b/s flavor. Gonna be ordering me some in a few weeks...

Keep in mind that the greater the backspacing on a 15" wheel, the more that will need to be ground to clear the caliper.

and another web wheeler pops up...put your money where your mouth is and bring something of your own to wheel next weekend at big dogs and fallow me:haha:

You and me both know that Hell will freeze over before that happens.

The whole point of my post was to criticize something on your build that had already been built. And you didn't take it to well now did you?:wink1:

Why dont you back the fock off howdiy here and at least let him build something first. And if it is a half assed unsafe POS then by all means bash away at him.

But atleast give the kid a freakin chance before you go ape**** on him.

I just revised my hangers a bit

Now they are smaller and more compact and I'd say stronger

The top is 4.2" long

This is for the forward front spring hangar? Why a 7/16" hole for the spring eye bolt? Thats smaller than OEM  if it is the rear hangar for the front spring you'll need a big hole for the upper shackle bushing.:wink1:

I wasn't sure of the stock size so I just pulled 7/16 out of my ass

Yeah It's forward front spring hanger

I'll go out to the garage and try to measure my dads truck

I'm thinking about ditching the 40's for a set of these :D

I can find them for less than 500 a set down here

They're 44 inches tall

I did some research and I think when they say 2wd frame is wider they mean the frame rails are, not the overall widths

Man I'm an idiot

Yeah I believe they are 1/2" and can be upgraded to 9/16.
