Yeah but there arent any other 460 post threads on the subject:rolleyes::haha:
Yep, and Avery thinks he's "special" enough to make number four hundred and sixty one. :doah: :haha: :doah: :haha:

this thread sucks and should end .. i want my 15 minutes of life back .. their are almost no pictures .. just work your ass off and do the swap

wow thanks for being a bunch of asses about it as usual guys...its freaking done what are you all bitching about? Plus I know it's nothing for you guys to do a 3/4 ton swap but for some of us its one hell of a project at home by yourself with limited tools and funds....there are some people that will get a lot of good "what not to do while I do my 3/4 ton swap" info. from this thread.

nothing personal .. but would be alot better if you could edit your posts and put all the important info on the first couple posts from you so people dont have to sit for hours reading this 40+ page swap then they can lock it and people can see how to do it on the first 2 pages instead of 40+

Umm... being asses? How bout this...

Young kid grinds section of his brake calipers (not knowing what its there for) is told what he did wrong, acts like a know it all and then admits hes wrong... The problem isnt that you dont know, its your whole attitude when someone tell you something...

And btw dont tell me about limited tools/ knowledge. Ive done ALOT with a litte, at your age.

And finally you shouldnt be doing a swap like this if you dont understand the systems your working on, its not just your life that your taking in your hands, its the baby being pushed across the street in a stroller :deal:

Btw i never made any insinuations that it was you who filled the tread with crap/ dragged it down in my first remark:rolleyes:

One last thing for everybody.

3/4 ton brakes and 1/2 ton brake (calipers specificaly) ARE NOT THE SAME. Yes they will interchange but the 3/4 ton claiper has a slightly bigger piston;)

how the hell do you expect people to "learn the systems they are working on" if you don't ever get out there and get your hands dirty? Think about it...guys online are always making fun of "web wheelers" yet when a web wheeler gets out there and does some work people are like "well maybe you should have just sold your rig"...etc.

BTW here's some pics...

Um when its a brake system you better have some understanding before you touch it...

There manuals, internet sources etc.

Ill admit i usually jump into things but i have a very mechanical mind / great mechanical understanding and can figure out why/how something does what its intended function is.

Its one thing to know you should do something, its another to understand WHY.

Yes, a 3/4 ton swap may be easy for some. What you dont seem to grasp isd is that you are dealing with something that controls steering/ brake etc. You're putting others at risk and quite frankly your non-chalant attitude is whats pissing me off..

Its not a matter of avoid the thread if you dont like it, if that were the case and you hacked this swap together cause everyone avoided this thread there are people out there that could be hurt:rolleyes:

Btw ever heard of theory before practice?

exactly so what the hell is the problem?

I have done everything by the book and the truck is safer than when I started...if something wasn't put together correctly you guys called me on it and I fixed it. It's as simple as that and I'm starting to get pissed that you guys are acting like I'm driving around some death trap...
why don't you guys go bug the guys with 4" lift blocks...or the guys running 44" boggers on 1/2 ton axles?

First of we do bug the guy on 44's and half tons same as we go after you:rolleyes:

Secondly re-read my post its you attitude...

Maybe you need to have your reading comprhension checked:rolleyes:

no I understand what you're saying...I have had a pretty crappy attitude through some times of this thread but there is more happening in life than just this truck so I do apologise for that and thank the few of you that have had the nerve to stick it out and help me finish...

I understand you may have other problems, hell dont even get me started on mine:doah:

This is not the place to take out any of those frustrations.

The last thing any of us want is to see you (or anyone else hurt) because you had to get it done. You cant rush these projects, especially on a vital part of your vehicles sytem;)

I think many of us take it very seriously and it comes out as such.

just pm eachother please no need for another page of stuff ..... someone lock this thread up ... if you have any other questions use search if you cant spend 20 bucksthen make another quick post on exact questions .. dont start another thread if no one awnsers just add reply saying "ttt"
