theres more factors than just tire sizeBizeeB65 said:I run 33"s with a 6" lift, and I dont think it looks funny. I haven't met anyone else who thought it looked funny either, especially that guy with the CUCV on 35"s who couldn't follow me out of the creekbed! LOL! My vote is for 33"s, cause you will def need gearing for larger tires, and more tire means more engine and more gas and more money and more work and... you get the point...
No offense taken, but actually, in my situation, I would rather have 33's with my lift and let me explain why. #1 - when i got the K5 a few months ago I set a budget, and the ole gal needed some suspension work and engine maintenance to be trail worthy, so that put installing gears and bigger tires/wheels out of the question. #2 - most of the guys I run with wheel mid size suv's (Jeeps, Samuri's) and the places we go here in KY/IN have REALLY tight trails. Not only would a 35 be wider than a 33, but would decrease my turning radius. I like to wheel with my friends, and I liked the idea of a full-size rig, so that's why I chose this setup. #3 - I like to have lots of flex, just in case. here is a link to some pics of the rearend (skyjacker) flexin her stuff.lrazer said:theres more factors than just tire size
i think a 6in lift with only 33's on a K truck is a bit excessive unless u have some extreem flex
im not trying to bash you or anything just wondering if you are saying you'd rather have 33's than 35's

If he hasn't figured it out in 2 years, he should pick another hobby.
