3D Printing Projects - Truck parts and tools

It would be neat to be able to print lead from filament, but the hazards people would ignore and the subsequent amount of lead poisoning that would come from it would be hilariously bad.

I have now added the STL files to thingverse as well.

I had to test it on a power window door as well, but the results are not exciting. Plenty of room.

But the next version, I dropped the cup holder 1" and made it deeper. I can now crank the manual windows carefully without smashing my hand. This puts the cup holder as low as possible without hanging off the door panel.

The crazy thing is that you can get whole door skins on eBay for $200/pair. Why wouldn't they add something like this to the injection mold?

Yeah we got ours too and I am impressed by how easy this brand is. Its crazy. The first thing we printed was this toy propeller launcher. Since then the kids have wanted to print a bunch of toy animals. This far all we have is silver PLA from the Longer LK5 unit I sent back, but I have much more options on the way during the bambu sale.

I also ordered a .6 mm Tungsten nozzle and a AMS HT for engineering filaments, a .2 mm ss nozzle for tiny detail, and a calibration plate to keep it in tolerance over time.

My son was excited because it just got done and he was pointing at it when I snapped the picture.

This little launcher works pretty well BTW, printed it from my phone in bambu handy. Try one if you have kids or you are a big kid. It took ~1.75 hours total on normal speed.

I plan to print one of these, looks like it would make it way easier to access inside with the AMS on top. You just flip it up. Guy made several versions.

I have that one saved as well for later. I need to get a different workstation for the printer first. I reused a Harbor Freight table my wife ran out of room for in her craft space, but it isn't sturdy enough and blocks anything from opening with the shelf behind the printer.

What material was the final piece printed with? Looks good!

You use a hardened nozzle for that?
Yes, hardened nozzle is required and hardened extruder gears are recommended as well. I missed the gears when I ordered the nozzle, but it is on the way now before I do much more with the material.
