Did you clean the plunger on the side of the carb, behind the plastic with 2 screws? Or that was a different carb I’m remembering. It kinda helped buffer quick movements of the throttle, more letting off I think though. I would imagine there should be a gap, I don’t remember. Some people on the forums would swear tying the armatures together with an O-ring was the ticket but I never found that necessary. That pilot and passage to the idle screw is important. Also the passage to the accelerator pump. Anywho, keep beating on it, sounds fun
