Very cool, they turned out excellent and really add a bit of class (that's probably not the right word) to the engine compartment.

Like I said before, they look very good that way. You are giving me ideas for the Edelbrock's I put on the Camaro. You think I could pass of a 350 as being a Vette simply by saying I have the same air cleaner? :haha: Very nice work as always!

Vette engines were built right along side every other SBC back in the day...it wasn't until they started the ZO6 engines that they were specialty built.
So yeah, you could pass it off as a "Vette engine"

More of a joke because of every douchebag around here putting in a 350 or even an LS1 and calling them Vette engines. If I ever get rich I am putting an LS9 into my Camaro, but I still won't call it a Vette engine.

I know what you mean there...Corvettes did have a few engines not available in other body styles, but those weren't usually the ones that people claim to be a Vette engine...so many Vette "purists" are hung up on numbers, and thats another reason why I have f@ck off stamped into my engine pad!

Looks very nice Dave. Do you ever notice half the time I call you Zim and half the time I call you Dave? I have no idea why.

thats normal for me Heath...answer to both...

so I've had a nagging vibration issue at highway speeds....took the Vette for a ride last night on the interstate to do a last shake down run before heading to detroit...found the torque convertor bolts maybe just not torqued as tight as they should have been, but still tight, then found this:

HPIM3673800x600.jpg

It seems very tight, and the fact that the grease retainer piece is not right makes me suspect... it won't hardly move on the wheel end flange...going to get that replaced and hope that was the issue.

Dave, you gonna be parked by Hot Rod Harley? Or have somewhere else in mind? Downtown spreads out quite a bit

got no idea Adam, the only time I went through Musk is when I got on the Lake Express. gimme a call Sun...269-929-7558 we'll meet up!

Got the Half-shaft Ujoint replaced tonight (at work) will put it back on when I get home, and hopefully that will be the end of the vibes....looks like a WET day tomorrow...haven't driven the Vette in rain in about 25yrs.

I remember you doing that, made me laugh. As for the u-joint, I would suspect that is your vibration, and I hope that takes care of it. Enjoy the ride!

just got back from a ride...much smoother now!

washed the car, ready to head out 8am, got to make a trip to NAPA, for some wiper blades. Bought one set, they don't fit...got Rain X on the windows now, so if for some reason I can't get a set to fit, I'll go with that!!! Wiper arms are off the car.

Aight dave sounds good. Hot rod harley is right on seaway (bus 131) on the left, big parking lot and you cant miss it. Its really the beginning of downtown, just stay right on seaway when it splits from 4 lanes to 2 and you cant miss it. I got yo number, ill call ya when me and skye head down. :waytogo:

sounds great Adam....had a real good day today...the car ran great, still have some cycling vibes going on in the drivetrain I believe, but ran it about 3500-4000rpm all 275 mi....IT WAS F'ING AWESOME....got so many looks and thumbs up.

the car was pretty filthy by the time I got home bout an hour ago...heading out to clean it up, then got a Chevy dealer car show tomorrow with it.

pics coming soon.

a couple dark pics....looks worse in person I guess...
